My perception and interpretation of the world are developed largely through the movement of my physical body through space and time. In allowing myself to become affected by the zeitgeist of human mood, the subtleties of thought, the enhancements and thrashings of experience, music, fingertips.... my body can become a conduit for universal artistic expression. There is a truth in these forms for me as I believe that the body never lies, that the psyche and the body are co-existing expressions of one another. In motion, lies emotion. Emotions are worn on the skin as they are felt in the heart, are seen in the the lift of the chin, the sideways glance of the eyes, and in the tension of the littlest finger. The minutia of physical signs that give away the inner landscape are of pique interest to me. In my art, I strive to celebrate and exemplify the gift of being alive, the myriad facets of personality, and the beauty of being a woman.
